I have a 1977 seacraft with the same gas tank - now having problems with pump ball going flat after speeding up for a few mins then slowing down . was told problem could be in feeder hose in tank - try to back off from tank - afraid to ruin connector any suggestions
Mine was in my new used tank I just put in. Not super happy after I pulled the main tank to add floatation and adjust CG with my heavy motor setup. Verified with a above deck tank and that works fine, but mine would suck the squeeze bulb flat.

I had issues with my tank in the past. There was a screen on the pick up tube that was getting clogged and also touching the bottom of the tank. It would suck to the bottom when there was a little debris stuck around the edges. I could run a few miles and it would suck the ball flat. I pulled the tube, removed the screen and then cut a small C in the end so that would never happen again. Has not been an issue since.

Fasteners that see over 1200F are a real bear to remove, and I know that Kroil works on them. Most of the shuttle never got that hot, but then again, neither do most gas tanks, so I guess Whitmore's might work for that! Do you buy it by the pail for your SeaCraft fleet? Where do you get it?
