Denny - I am so sorry to read this and hear about Pat. I know nothing we can do or say will fill the void, but please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. Stay strong.

For those who did not see it, here is her Obituary. When I go and minister to people of our church who have lost someone, it makes easier when I know their loved one was saved and I can remind them that they are no longer suffering and now our with the Lord. Obviously Pat was saved and she too is now with the Lord. I will continue to lift the Bushnell family up in prayer, and for those who pray please pray for my best friend as he lost his wife a year ago today. (Dan Tucker)

Most Merciful God, Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who is the Resurrection and the Life: Raise us, we humbly pray, from the death of sin to the life of righteousness; that when we depart this life we may rest in him, and at the resurrection receive that blessing which your well-beloved Son shall then pronounce: “Come, you blessed of my Father, receive the kingdom prepared for you from the beginning of the world.” Grant, O Lord, to Denny and to all who are bereaved the spirit of faith and courage, that we may have strength to meet the days to come with steadfastness and patience; not sorrowing as those without hope, but in thankful remembrance of your great goodness, and in the joyful expectation of eternal life with those we love. And this we ask in the Name of Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.

Hello to my dad's (Denny aka Bushwacker) friends on the forum,

I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank all of you for your kind condolences and support especially for my dad. It has been a tough couple of years for us both in caring for my mom's failing health. We suspect it was likely an atypical form of Parkinson's Disease that she was afflicted with, possibly something called Multiple System Atrophy which is something akin to Lou Gehrig's Disease. Patients with MSA don't live nearly as long as patients with regular Parkinson's; life expectancy is only about 5 - 10 years after diagnosis.

Between the Seacraft gatherings and the lobster mini-season in Key Largo, those gatherings gave my dad a much needed getaway to enjoy seeing all of you, to relax and take a break from caregiving. I think between his project engineering background and my computer network engineering skills that we were probably the first caregivers to "project manage" Parkinson's Disease so to speak!!

I hope that I'll have some "free time" to be able to attend one of the next gatherings or the lobster mini season this summer. I would really enjoy being able to meet all of you to thank you in person. The Restless Lady III Safari has brought my dad many years of enjoyment, and I'm grateful for all the friends he's made through this forum.

The performance forum, in particular, gives him a very much needed outlet for the MASSIVE amounts of technological knowledge in his brain! ;-) I've learned a great deal about car, boat, and jet engines over the years in listening to him, although I'm sure what I've absorbed is just a fraction of the things he knows!!

For those of you in the south Florida area and have time to join us, we are having a memorial service for my mom on Saturday, March 5 at 11 am in West Palm Beach at my church, First Christian Church, 215 S. Congress, West Palm Beach. It's just a bit north of the PBI Airport, between Palm Beach Lakes and Okeechobee Blvds.

Thanks again and hope to meet many of you at a future gathering!

God bless,

Susan Bushnell aka BushwackerToo
