Tango, if you're worried about maxing out HP I think you'll max out on weight before HP. I have a 150c Yam on my '71 and I can't imagine anything heavier, I tried a 130 honda 4 stroke but would have had to re-build transom or add a gil bracket. I've got about 4" of freeboard remaining at the transom which ain't much. Min HP to get up: guessing 90hp on the newer engines but that would be like molasses. I get 6-8 gph at cruise 32 mph, top around 40 mph down hill, wind from behind...
