My pick up is about 4' from the stern/ 26" from the c-line. behind that is my ground plate. I put those there so i could get to my ball value to shut it off when not in use. The 8' deck plate for that is just in front of the splash well. also my two b-pumps are right there. so when i need to clean out down below every thing is in reach. no hunting for nutin. P>S one thing to watch for is the rollers on your trailer. see where they sit when the boat is on it.
