Mine look like a small almost square wedge about 1/4 to 3/8 thick and they happen to be screwed to the hull, not sure if they were an after though or not from the factory. They are just a small wedge shape that deflects the water, mine are smaller that Scotts I also have a 20' CC. Another after thought on the clam shells, I'll have to ask the guy that came up with it, what happens when you back the boat up? They would help the water right in. [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img]
