Default Re: Another one I home someone has seen

Spoke to the owner and here is what I found out:

-All original, except for repairs
-Never kept in the water. Always trailered
-Transom and stringers are solid (heh...)
-Merc 150 is an '81 (!) but "supernaturally reliable (double heh...)
-Trailer was just refurbed. No fenders because it never goes more than a mile to the water.
-Owner has the teak doors and grabrails, which were removed.

I would like to pursue this one and told the owner that I would like to have it surveyed. They agreed and I'm setting that up now. However, I'd like to negotiate a tentative deal beforehand, if possible, and use the survey results to adjust price, if necessary.

For you Florida folks, based on what you see (and read), what do you think this boat is roughtly worth on the Florida market? The engine is near worthless at this point given its age, and $5,700 seems steep with that in mind. Thoughts?
