Transom repair to 23 Sceptre inboard

Hey Botes, welcome to the board- Myself and Tom from Boston had a nice conversation over the tely about our inboards yesterday and conversed on this subject. He is doing a major overhaul on his boatand did redo his transom (both our boats are c/c inboards). Anyways mine is fairly wet as well, but I am not going to do anything with it until I have to do a major gutting painting and everything else. I feel very comfortable with mine and as long as I am "catching" [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img] it doesnt bother me. The water does add some extra weight though I wouldnt think too much. When I had my boat hauled last year I drilled a couple of large holes and let them drip and drain(at first) for a couple of months. Before I filled them in again I used syringes and sucked all the water out I could and filled them back in with west system. I think Tom basically agreed and also said some of the boat yards he had talked with said not to worry about it either.
