Default Repower - 4 stroke Yamaha vs Suzuki

Having read many (all) of the posts on repowering, I find myself having a tough time making a decision on a new engine. I am sold on 4 stroke, but torn between Yamaha (115 or 150) and Suzuki (140).

The only thing wrong with the Suzuki I can find, is that parts/serviceablity could be an issue, and that the horsepower may be slightly overstated. I will be running the boat up on Cape Cod (Chatham), where there are limited dealers...

I like the Yamaha 150, but am concerned about putting another 60 lbs on a 78 Sceptre with original transom and the impact on the bailing system. The 115 weighs the same as the Suzuki (406 lbs), but here again I give up some HP.

From a price point, looks like the 150 is about $1500 -2000 more than the other two.

I am making a decision in the next week or so, and thought it might be worth "kicking it around" one more time with "the experts".

All comments welcomed.. Thanks.
