Default Funny Story - My SeaCraft is Not for Sale

When I bought my 23 footer last year and it just happened to show in up in my driveway, my wife was not the happiest person on the planet. However, she didn't kick me out of the house (not yet anyway) either.

Anyway I now have my boat back in the driveway, as I am doing all of the annual PM stuff (cleaning up the teak with Cetol, btoom paint, some new electronics & other misc stuff) getting it ready for an April 2 launch into the slip. When I went home last night my wife told me that a guy knocked on our door and told her the following:

"I own a big roofing company in NYC and live around the corner. Everyday I pass your house and am in love with your boat. I want to buy it from you. Just give me a price."

My wife then told him that if if my boat. He then asked if i would consider selling it. My wife said that I too am in love with my boat, and would rather cut off a limb than give that boat boat. The guy then asked if she could put some martial pressure (he would make it worth her while) to make me sell the boat. My wife responded by saying that if I had to pick between her and the boat, she fears that i would pick the boat. Net/net, no sale.

Part of me is happy that my wife does understand how I feel about my boat, and that a stranger likes my boat that much. However, it also bothers me a little that somone would be that pushy. I am sharing this little story becuase I am sure that this happens to other SeaCraft owners as well.
