Default Re: Starboard gauge backing on the center console

i used 3/8 on mine and found it to be too thin (starboard) I ended up going with 1/2" and it works well- no flex with heavier electronics. Here are a couple of pix. Ive since added a black vhf over on the left hand side and putting a black am/fm over there as well. good luck- be sure to save your old one as a template for both the beveled edge and also the screw holes work well too. craig

you will probably find like me that ended up using all new gages, rewired the whole thing (which led to rewiring the whole boat)so beware- before it all ends it is possible to start getting real expensive!!!
