Default Re: My first

yes that is the cover i am talking about- when i say replace the pump I am talking about the whole assembly-impellar, housing, all of it- after ahwile the bearings will usually go bad as well and they are more of a pain in the ass to try and rebuild than to just can and buy a new one. there will be 5 or 6 big allen headed bolts where it attaches to the flywheel- undo these- make sure you correctly match up the pump then shitcan the old one- (i always keep a good spare one on the boat). did you see groovesd in the cover when you removed it (btw- it should be brass?)i would post some pix for you but my scanner is broken-
