Thanks Finny, we can all learn from these unfortunate events.

Was Peter's hatch leaking excessively. In that case it is just a matter of time for bilge pumps to drain the battery. I have a Bomar hatch that seems to be pretty water tight and 2 Rule 1500 bilge pumps.

Also curious on your thoughts if the vent water line was the start of the end or the end was already happening prior that the thruhull scuppers were inverting. Maybe it is hard to say, but i figured once the water is close to my vents i am already done.

But then again it will take some serious weight to take my pool noodles down!
