I actually ended up using two water separating filters.I installed one filter a bit up from the tank outlet.Then I mounted the sensor,after that,and then I went from the sensors outlet to the engine mounted water separator.No need for a pulsation damper,as you mentioned.

I did this because it gave me enough of a run to make the fuel line run uphill as Floscan requires.
Plus I figure with the Ethanol fuel,it doesn't hurt to have another filter.
