Default Bedding Compound? Sealant? Which Fittings?

I am a little confused about which pieces should be installed in a "bedding compound," which should be caulked in with sealant, and which don't need either. Also, what exactly should be used for "bedding?"

cleats (pull-up style): bedding?
bow light (pull-up style): bedding?
thruhulls: sealant (4200)
rodholders: bedding? gasket?
fuel fill: bedding?
louver vents: nothing?
misc. rails, ss/alum accessories: nothing? bedding?
hinges/pulls on hatches: bedding? nothing?
everything else???

I'm sure a lot of it probably doesn't matter, but would love to know the right way to do it, or least what the guys with more experience think...Thanks.
