Default Re: Congratulations Boston Bruins!

Some thoughts from a long time boston Fanatic.

My buddy emailed this, from rhody: "this guy at work then said all four teams have won it and then i felt the need to correct him with "three of the four have won it, don't forget spygate" and he agreed."

I am staring at my 2004 red sox victory parade pennant but when you dig in, manny and poppi (and millar and damon and...) were probably on the juice so those red sox titles feel a little less awesome. Never mind that the sox have a yankees-esque payroll.

And the celtics were gifted KG by Kevin McHale. Sure the lakers got gasol and 2 titles in a similarly shady trade, but 2 wrongs don't make a right. (3 lefts do though).

So basically, when you dig down, the bruins win should be the sweetest of the bunch... the collapse last year, the home grown talent, stand up guys like recchi and chara, winning it in Lucic's and Neely's backyard, going through both montreal and philly, having the hot goalie for the first in a long time (copyright bill simmons), the 156K bar bill, Horton dumping garden water on the ice for game 7.

But all I want to do is complain bitterly about how the canucks had a better post-cup party. Did anyone see the guy with the sedin bros poster? 2 girls no cup. That's ha ha funny.
