Default Stupidest thing you did on your project

I can't be the only genius (sarcasm) here who did something stupid on their project. Here is my most stupid moment so far. I had this nice perfectly flat piece of plexiglass and started thinking it would make the perfect backing for a large area I needed to fill in. I normally use visqueen over plywood but it leaves these annoying ripples in the surface. Google said that epoxy wouldn't stick to acrylics. Um... I beg to differ. I now have a huge chunk of plexiglass permanently affixed to my hull (at least until I take a grinder with a cutting wheel to it). Time to invest in some partall and formica (shortcuts don't payoff).

I can't be the only idiot here. What kind of mistakes did you guys make on your projects?
