The capped pilings are upside down driven in 40' so the ice wont lift them because of the taper. I have never ever had less than 40" of those pilings above the dockrings until.......

Those four tall uncapped pilings are from my old boats, for the lift. 50' class A driven, not jetted with not an inch cut off them. When I got rid of the lift the guys who did it of course offered to take them out for free, nice guys, lol. I said, nah little extra protection thanx anyway.

The Grady belongs to gentleman very into the C.G. Aux, lol. The whole back corner's down to glass also now.
