A little ghetto - but; DIY plastic trailer fenders
I use my trailer twice a year; in and out. Except for nasty hurricanes or a breakdown.
It's a mid 80's Florida, Rocket trailer that has been bastardized many times over before I got it. I did get it made 'safe' after it traveled over a 1000 miles, via a cliche of Jack Daniels from a bottle swigging Deliverance type guys - to get the boat to me from FL many moons ago. When I received my handy man special-ready-for-resto all those years back, I was shocked that it made it to the FL state line, no less NY at all ! I digress. Since I've owned it, it has never had fenders and in that spirit, I think it's only fitting to fit on some 55 gallon drum-made, plastic fenders. The attachment points are all there from the past fenders. There's a commercial guy who hauls boats that I see with them on from time to time, but I've never had more than a passing glimpse. Anyone ever make these or know how ? |
