Thanks for the replies guys. After looking around at what's out there I'll definitely be going to something flush mount. Not sure what yet or how powerful but I'll be sure to match it with whatever FF I go with. I'm not planning on going too far out, B60 would probably be all I need for the bay and close to shore wreck fishing.

Any ideas on the best way to get the old angled piece off of the hull once I drop the transducer? Drop the transducer and give it a whack to see how good it's on there?
I probably wont mess with it until I'm ready to install something new but I'd like to have an idea of how to deal with it before I start disassembly.
