Dusky Bracket on a 20' MA?

I had one and cut it up to make it more like a modern bracket with a swim platform on top of it. It was the twin outboard bracket so it had a ton of flotation but was very heavy. Seems like it was over 200lbs. I cut it down and got it to like 165lbs then added a swim platform to it. It did really well considering what it was. I picked it up for like a $100 or so that's why I went that route but probably wouldn't do it again. I have built my most recent brackets ground up from a mold and also one from aluminum plate. But to bolt one on and use it as is factory it will work well other than be a little heavy. The top open part has drain holes in it so that it will work like a self draining splash well. They are one of the strongest brackets you will ever buy though. I have a thread on here showing the conversion I done on my dusky bracket. There were some sections of glass almost 3/4" thick on it. Mine was balsa wood cored but the lay ups on the balsa were very thick. If you can get one super cheep I wouldn't feel bad about using it.
