Just my two cents on the 225 two stroke from Suzuki...
I know someone who has that engine on a 23 SC and it is a friggin' pig on fuel! I cannot remember exactly what he used in a day of striper fishing, but it made me sit up and take notice. Something like, 40 gallons burned when most of the day they spent drifing eels...! Yikes! Stay AWAY! On the other hand, once again, I am very happy with the Evinrude 225 I bought new last year. -Hooper
