thanks for the interest, let me try to explain:

when i say dash mount, it mounts to the bulkhead and ontop of the dash.

from the bottom to the dash is 33".

it also is wider toward the front (end closest to bow) then it is where you stand, at its widest point it is 25" (note, this 25" point is 33" from the bottom and 5" foward of the bulkhead)

it didnt fit in my boat becuase at 5" in front of the bulkhead @ 33" up i didnt have 25" across and t would interfere with the cabin doors. hopefully you understand what im saying. theses are the critical measurments, hopefully there enough extra beam in a 23' to accoidate it. and if your totally lost with what i said just let me know
