Default I'm just wondering here....but...

Looking for an honest opinion about market value...

I have an '83 SeaCraft center console, some of you may have seen the pics. there is a nice custom hard T-Top and a full compliment of modern electronics ie, chartplotter, radar, FF, Temp, etc...there are outriggers, sampson post, and a soft sided lift raft. It needs nothing at all as it was completely rewired in 2002.

Plus, I repowered and have 58hrs on a 2003 Evinrude 225 with 2.5yrs on the warranty. No worries there.

The reason I am even entertaining the idea of a sale is that if the money on the sale of the SC was right I am considering building a downeast single screw... but I need to do reasonably well on the sale of this boat.

I am interested to hear what the experts on CSC.com have to say, as many have been in the market recently. In November, 2001 I paid 20K with the Mariner that was on it, some of you heard my ranting when it blew up on me 6 months later... thus, the new 'Rude.

I have always wanted to build a downeaster (a 30' H&H or a South Shore 30) and I have been knocking the idea around for quite sometime, even before I bought the SC. For charters in this area, a 23 SC is tough.. but I have been making a go of it.

Can anyone from the P'Nut gallery throw some ideas at me? I am aware that a boat needs an engine so, I cannot simply add 15K to what I paid for it because it has new power, but what about have of that? I currently have it insured at 26K believing that if I had to sell it today, that may be the best I could hope for (I may be cutting my own throat by saying that on this site....).

I am interested in your thoughts!!!!!
