Default Re: are potter hull design same as csy used

This is a touchy subject, one might get offended if I have bad input on a boat that they might have. So on this note, I don't mean to offend anyone . I had a 77 20ft Sceptre Potter built and now have an 82 23ft Sceptre CSY built. I can't really tell that much difference between the two as far as glass lay-up etc goes. If you really want to split hairs, it does seem that the CSY boat does have more glass (being built like a tank), but that might be the simple fact that it is a bigger boat. However I'm not happy with the workmanship that was put into my 23ft boat . I talked to a local fiberglass man and he said that he has had to repair several Tracker models, stated that the stringers were breaking loose in them, and that Tracker had actually tried to just bond the stringer in rather that glassing them.
