![]() Put the thinking-caps on, boys: I'll start off by saying I'd rather not buy a new pedestal and get involved w/ removing the old one. With that being said, I just bought a pair of used pedestal seats ( Todd, low-end 'they will do the job for now' type ). The seats have sliders and aluminum mounts w/ 2 7/8" holes in the base to receive the pedestal. The original SeaCraft pedestals have the captains pedestal being adjustable, up and down. This adjustability makes the pedestal narrower - w/ a diameter of 2 3/8" - therefore, the pedestal is 1/2" too small in diameter than the seat base hole. You w/ me still ? Is there a spacer-like collar or 'something' that I can rivet onto this narrower pedestal so that the dimension will be 1/2" larger overall ( the actual collar would have to be 1/4" thick so that the roundness of the collar would be a total of 1/2" thick ) What'cha think. |
