Default Retrun from road trip

Just got back from Pensyl-Tucky where my boat has been stuck for the last two weeks. Got there Friday night in the snow, and woke up to 2 inches on the ground. I hadn’t planned on cold weather!

Anyhow, I’m really pleased with the boat. It’s all original and everything seems solid except for the transom. I kind of figured that based on the pictures- MY TSUNAMI It has a Ford 302-4 barrel Mercruiser 225 TR II power plant/outdrive. Actually still had the original Mercuiser operator’s manual.

Bad news is the trailer is basically spent. It was an aluminum trailer with tandem axles. One wheel came off, and another was almost gone. One bunk was shot because of carpenter ants or something. One cross brace is broken. When I got there, the entire frame was only about 5 inches off the ground. I couldn’t get a bottle jack under it. The boat is now on boat jacks in the stern, and blocks of wood under the bow. This really sucks since I’ll now have to lay out the cash for a new trailer, wait for delivery, pay for storage, and then drive 6 hours there to get it under the boat. Oh well, live and learn.
