I don't know what material you have on hand , but for fine finish work ,I would recommend going with polyester glazing putty for the final fairing of any minor imperfections. The stuff spreads like soft butter , cures in less that a hour and sands very easily. It is available at any auto body distributor. My 2 cents. Dink
