Default Re: 18 repowering ideas

Hey Ark, just droped my 18SC off and the shop to have the DF140 installed. I'll let you know some numbers when i get it back prob in a cpl of weeks. Im not really worried about the top end, i was more concerned about the motor haveing enough ass to get it out of the hole. From what ive read and heard i think it should be just fine, not including the gas milage i will get going from a 1992 evinrude 175hp carbed. As far as the weight my 175 i think weighs close to 400lbs, witch i get my feet wet with a cpl of guys in the back of the boat. The df140 is at 419lbs hopefuly it shouldnt make to much diffrence.
