I don't know if you'd even need that much core (or any at all for that matter.)
If I were to do it, I might take a trip to Target, Kmart, etc.....and see if any small plastic garbage cans with similar dimensions might be used for a crude mold. If not, Strick could tell you how to make one....he has done some pretty nice mold work on his boat.
