Default Capt Chuck- ? re:Keel drain

Capt. Chuck,

I was talking with Don Herman yesterday regarding the installation of my bracket and I was asking about
the transom drain and he suggested I look at the keel
drain on your boat. There are several questions I have
which are: 1) What size plug is it 1/2" or 3/4".2)It looks like there is a flat area where the plug is mounted. If that is so I don't have that flat area on my 23. The only flat area is on either side of the keel (which is approx.
3" high)which means it will have to be mounted at an angle(the deadrise), which could interfer with the operation of the t-handle. Any oberservations, thoughts or suggestions
would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
