Default Ethanol!!!!!

Ethanol has struck again. My boat ran beautifully the first trip out, and the second. Then I put 6 gallons of new fuel in to top off the tank and that is when the sputtering began! I posted about it here. Well I was at Nauset marine yesterday to replace my fuel filters and mentioned my problem. When I mentioned putting in a tank of new fuel he just shook his head. He said that was my problem. The new fuel with ethanol, acts like dry gass and separates the water etc from the fuel and gums everything up!!!!!!! He informed me that I would need to siphon my tank and then add new fuel. He said adding fuel would not get rid of the crap. I guess the marina is having all kinds of problems with ethanol. So run your tank dry before adding new fuel!!!
