Thanks for the input, I agree with you and Doug, I may go for it. The transon was checked today, We were sure we wold have to re-do it, but it is very solid, a little damp, but not rotted. It is 2.75" thick, it will have to be trimmed down on the inside to 2.25". The glass on the outside of the lower transom is 1/2" thick !!! It is amazing how much glass was used on that hull, no wonder it is so heavy. Theoritcally it may pound if I launch it hard, but I have only been able to do that once in 3 years, and the landing was not that bad.
