Default Barnstable Gathering 2006

Well, the weather gods were with us all yesterday, but unfortunately the fish gods were not and neither was Lady Luck for me and my crew. The day started out great until we launched the boat. As my father was parking the truck and trailer, his brakes went. Luckily this happened AFTER the boat was off the trailer. Fortunately for us, EBEACH (Jim) was joining us on my dad's 23 Sceptre and he graciously offered up his vehicle to tow us home at the end of the day. A HUGE thank you to Jim!!

After waiting 1 1/2 hours for the tow truck, we were finally on our way. In the meantime, we ran into oldbluesplayer (Bill) and Trayder's neighbor John at the ramp. Great boats, guys.

The fishing was terrible. Oldbluesplayer was top rod for the day with a few bluefish. I believe everyone else got skunked.

I snapped a few shots of the boats as they made their way to Beach Point for the cookout.

It was great to meet oldbluesplayer, John, and CHANCE1234 (Elijah) for the first time. You guys have some nice boats.

A big thanks to Trayder for being chef as well as water taxi. The things you can do with a pair of Accurate pliers and a fillet knife when cooking dogs and burgers is incredible!
