Default Re: Mercruiser Alpha One repair

I think the Alpha-One set up is really simple and the MerCruiser manuals do a very good job of explaining their operation and repair. Why not just do I good once over yourself?

Do an engine tune up, change the gear oil in the upper/lower units, check drive shaft alignment, grease everything, perhaps adjust shift cables. The shop manuals have things you should check every XX hours anyway.

I put all used MerCruiser Alpha One parts and a 2.5L in my 20' (which I stole from parts boats) and it runs and drives great. After installing everything, I feel I have a good handle on the system.
