Default Re: Finally Started on 23 Inboard

It's been an interesting 9 months. Without getting into details, KATE is in the good hands of Young's Fiberglass in Marmora, NJ finally getting the attention she deserves. The Yanmar is at Holtz's waiting for the body work to be done.

Anyway,I wanted to post some progress pics of how things are going.

Test fit of engine (not going to move it forward, won't work, but it sounded good at the time)

Bottom has been soda blasted, patched, faired, and barrier coated

New transom and stringer risers in place with test deck removed

Test fitting of deck and transom cap. The rear liner is not going back and the ice/bait wells are being removed and covered. The deck will go to the transom on the sides (you can see the skin applied directly to the transom). The scuppers will go directly through the transon eliminating the need for tubes to the liner. The middle area will have a cover to hide the rudder, tank fills, and other stuff mounted to the transom.

Console modifications - extended visor around the dash area (hard to see) and I conerted the flip up storage box to a drawer.

That's it for now but work is moving fast. Will try to update at least weekly.
