Default Re: Etec 115 hp shaft extention question

Kbay:

If your at all handy and comfortable with dropping your lower unit, you can complete the installation yourself and send in the warranty card to Bay MFG yourself (comes in the box).

BAY MFG is a small operation (the wife of the owner will answers the phone) and they are very easy to work with if you have any questions or need replacements parts.

Installation of the extension on the two motors that I installed a required that you slightly ream out the midsection channel for the input shaft to allow the shaft extension to pass through and remove the shift rod to insert the required extension. The rest is pretty straight forward.
