Default Re: which sceptre to buy ?

thanks for the repley, I did not buy the boat yet, or see it in person, I used to buy and refurbish airplanes, I am out of that now, my foalks have a place on Hutchinsen Iland on the river, and I need a boat to use, now that i have a place to go, great area for boaters, so I hope to meet some of you guys when i get it together and down there. Back to the diesel i.b., its not a v-drive, looks like a srtaight shAFT. My concern is that its a 4 cly. yanmar, its light, and it sits to far forward. I belive the guy said it was a 17" prop, and it was not that fast, mid 20"s, he dont run it hard, I know thats probablly the most economical set up, but not ifr you want speed. Also looking at another 23 spectre with twin 115"s susks. , and my concern is it may be to heavy back there, straight transom, no bracket. And a piece of plywood to stop the water from comming in when slowing down.
