I think Im going to probabaly go with the 300 zuke. I think that I should be able to get close to 3 mpg at 30 knot cruise and maybe upwards of 2.25-2.5 at about 40-42 knots. with the standard 100 gal plus ~40 in an external tank in the console I should have comfortable range for veatch/ west Atlantis etc to go load up on YFT and BET.

older engines really arent an option for me. while they may save me some $ in the short run, I CANT have my boat in the shop in the summertime. Not an options with comm bass and charters going. I gotta be able to pay for this thing somehow.
