Default Painting Hull

Folks - I am a new SC Owner of a 1980 20 MA. I am just getting started on the repairs. What is the best way to support the boat while work is underway ? It is currently on a trailer. I am concerned about painting/patching around either method where they contact the boat and want to know the easiest way to approach. Best way to access/paint these areas while in work. I see some folks using 4 boat screw jack stands (right term?)and others setting on bunks. Where do I get these stands if that is the way to go? Thanks!
