Default Jack Plate

My boat has an aluminum TH Marine Jack Plate (non-adjustable, I guess this is what is known as a "manual" jack plate). I believe this was added to account for the 20" transom with a 25" shaft outboard (I'll have t confirm the motor length).

So....I am planning to raise the transom to 25" when I re-do it. Is there any benefit to keeping the jackplate? It has about a 4" setback if I recall correctly.
