Default Salvage yard find...

hello, First post from a new member with a few questions;

What's a boat worth and what is the original diesel engine for a 23 SF?

I have found what I believe to be a Seacraft 23 SF with diesel inboard in a sorry state at a local marine salvage yard. A cursory hull inspection seems ok and while it is in a sorry state the rest seems recoverable. Prop looks ok and the shaft can be turned smoothly and without too much effort. Shaft is disconnected and the transmission is out and on the deck. The motor is I think a six inline diesel, yellow painted, seperate cylinder heads. Engine is in place and will turn over with a breaker bar on it. Console needs replacement, decks are hard but some spider cracks. Aluminum T Top is in good condition. I'm assuming the fuel and electrical systems will need replacing.

Any ideas what the motor might be?

What would be a resonable price to offer assuming hull is in a restorable condition and the engine rebuildable?

Have I lost my mind thinking of taking this on? I have some experience refurbishing boats here in FL and want a diesel inboard. Something about the lines of this boat and it's sad state kept pulling me back..

Thanks
