My grandfather's sportfisher, Time Out
My grandfather was the former sales manager for Dawson Beer's south shore warehouse in Brockton, MA. When he and his crew heard about a corporate-sponsored contest to increase sales, they went at it full tilt and won first place...and a brand new 32 ft. sportfishing boat built at a boat yard in North Falmouth on the Cape. Dawson Beer's slogan was "Time out for Dawson" and, of course, the boat was called "Time Out" and was berthed in Duxbury, MA. launched 8/15/1950.
Another newspaper article tells how the boat has "the best equipment possible for saltwater fishing, including a ship to shore radio and all aids to navigation." |
