Default Applying non-skid

I'm about ready to apply non skid to the gunwale tops and floor of my 20'sf. I'll be spraying Interlux perfection. Then will be shaking the non skid on. My question is how many coats of paint do you apply before applying the non skid and how long do you wait to shake on the non skid. Also, how long do you wait to come back and paint over the non skid after its been applied and how many coats. One last question. Would it be alright to apply the non skid, put a coat or two of paint on top then let it dry over night. The following day, pull the tape and repaint everything (areas under the tape and non skid).
