Default Fishing plans for a 20' CC.

Aloha,

Well, I scored my dream boat, and am liking it more and more by the day. Even just working on it is proving to be a good time, seeing her potential.

My question is fishability and my plans for building her up. I eventually want to build a doghouse for her, and make her the only doghouse boat in Hawaii, but until then I've come up with some plans for her, and I'm trying to figure out how realistic they are.

I want to be able to quickly convert her from an offshore fish slayer to a family boat for the meantime. I have been toying with the idea of mounting outriggers directly to the CC to allow the ability to walk around. Of course Id build extremely beefy baseplates to mount on the inside, and run 4 lines out the back. I have an 8' VHF whip that I would like to mount on the front of the CC, but put a connecter at the base to allow for easy removal. I don't want to invest in a TTop just to end up trading it up for the doghouse, I want to have easy access to the bow while fishing, and as far as sun/wind/rain protection offshore, I'll gain that through raingear and a wide brimmed hat. The other reason for not getting a ttop at the moment is so on family days/dive days/crabbing days (close to shore stuff) I can pull the outriggers and the antenna and put the bimini up. I have a handheld VHF for when I'm nearshore.

Please point out the flaws in my plan, any experience you might have, or if you think I'm just plain nuts. I appreciate any help I can get.
