Default Fun with my Seacraft

Just when you get ready to put it in the water I started smelling gas. I cut the 5200 and pulled the screws off the console, laid it over and too off the hatch. I hate the little inspection plate as you can't see anything. Thank god it is only the gasket on the sending unit for the gauge. The tank was replaced in 96/97 and I didn't see any pitting on the top so it will make it until later. I will also be recoring the hatch as it must have weighed 100 lbs. I am planning on doing the floor in November. I just recored the baitwell hatch after I finished cutting out the back of the well.

It's always something....I just want to go for a boat ride. Is that too much to ask.
