Radical Idea ?

Has anyone ever laid a thin layer of plywood or a combo of plywood and fiberglass over a soft floor . I laid a piece
of thin paneling on the floor of the boat while I was working on the bilge access area the other day . I was surprised when I stood up to grab a tool and the floor did not give at all .A light bulb went off in my head , and then I thought about my last bright idea which didn't turn out too well.
