Default Re: fuel capacity 74 i/o with baitwell

I have a 1974 23 Tsunami I/O and it came from the factory with a 55 gallon fuel tank.It is clearly stamped 55 gallons on the tank, and it was made in Hialeah Florida.
Does yours look like this, with the bait well in front of the motor box?
I use it for the batteries. The hatch cover with the seal keeps any water out, even in a driving rain or spray from the washdown.
