Default Sirius weather- anyone with experience in the NE?

Anyone have any experience using Sirius weather up here in New England or Cape Cod? I have the weather module for my raymarine unit and I have not yet installed it. I spoke with Sirius and you can do monthly subscriptions @ 29.99 per month and you can add the sat radio for another 9 - 12.

Is it worth paying for? From all that I have read the only real practical use for it is for dodging thunderstorms as the nexrad radar is great. However, the SST charts supposedly are not that great as they are not typically current. It would be nice to be able to avoid the thunderstorms but we don't have nearly as many as the guys down south have to contend with. Is there some other useful feature that makes having it worthwhile?
