specs on a yamaha 130 1989 ?

i have a 18 with a 1989 yamaha 130 running a 19 pitch prop and a am only getting 5000 rpms max. i want to switch to a 17 stainless cause i feel i will get alot better numbers with this set up . i have been lookin up 130s and people say they are running them 5700 rpms? seems a lil high too me thought. my boaT runs 40.2 on a good day but its just a dog gettin out of the whole any sug?? any advicec would help thanks guys
