Default New Seacraft owner, 1974 20'SF

I'm new to the forum and recently purchased a 1974 Seacraft 20' SF I believe from looks of other photo of other peoples boats. She's got a 1985 150 VRO Envinrude on her stern and is all 100% original with solid decks, just need to recore the hatches in the deck. I got a couple questions about my new boat hoping maybe a few of you guys can help me out. First of is, after of the console is a hatch what looks like was used as a bait well? Is this little cover a normal use?

The ownder of the boat did not use the boat he was selling it for a friend. My other question is this has a switch on the console for the fuel tanks, and it is a two position switch does this tend to mean I have two tanks? I only have one fill station

Here is some boat porn for you all.
